Hidden Pubs of London

Join us for a 3hr historical stumble down the "street of shame". Starting in the shadow of the iconic St.Paul's cathedral, we explore the tiny backstreets and rambling courtyards the ancient City of London is famous for. We follow in the drunken footsteps of literary greats including Dickens, Shakespeare, Pepys & Johnson whilst pausing for a drink in at least 4 of the most historic pubs dating as far back as the 1500's. From discovering art nouveau gems to glamorous Victorian gin palaces we enjoy a variety of pub styles and breweries along the way. It's not a prescriptive tour, so you choose & pay for your drinks along the way. We're here to offer recommendations, and you can often "sip before you sup" with a few tasters on request from the bars along the way. This allows you to indulge as much or as little as you desire! Non-drinkers can soak up the history, and wine & gin-lovers are also well catered for. We usually finish up on the edge of Covent Garden perfect for theatre-land, restaurants and of course more pubs! Other note: - Guests are recommended to be over 18 years of age to enjoy the walk at its best. Anyone lucky enough to look under 25 years of age should bring photo ID - Group sizes of up to 14 participants - Alfie the dog is not always in attendance. Sorry! N.B. At my lively Kilburn studio, this hands-on ceramics workshop invites you to learn the art of clay throwing and create your own drinks coaster inspired by London’s iconic landmarks. Whether you’re a beginner or have dabbled in ceramics before, this experience will spark creativity and connect you to London’s vibrant artistry. • I’ll start with the basics of working with air-drying clay—shaping, smoothing, and sculpting—and guide you through the process of designing your own unique coaster. • Next, I’ll demonstrate wheel techniques and teach you tricks to bring balance and form to your creations before it’s your turn to practise shaping clay on the wheel. • Emboss, carve, and paint your coaster with details that showcase your style, from bold London-inspired colors to delicate designs. You’ll leave with your custom coaster, a perfect reminder of your journey into the heart of ceramics in this meditative, hands-on session.

Retired Royal Guard Iconic London Walk

I invite you to join me to see Royal palaces and other iconic royal sites, hear personal stories of my experiences with members of the Royal Family and even get to see a piece of Prince William's and Kate's wedding cake! We will start at Trafalgar Square and hear about its history and then move on to see the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of the King's Life Guard. We then walk along The Mall to St James' Palace and Clarence House where I will tell you tales of Princes William and Harry the night before William's wedding. Next is a short walk to Buckingham Palace where you will have more opportunities to take photos and hear stories of the Royal household. We then walk into picturesque St James' Park where there is a chance to pause (kiosk available for drinks) and look at gifts presented to me by members of the Royal family. On the way to Parliament Square I will tell you all about the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben). The final part of the walk takes us along Whitehall, past Downing Street (home of the Prime Minister) and then to the spot where King Charles 1st was executed. We will finish back at Trafalgar Square. Other things to note: If on the 2pm walk we will see a shortened Guard change at 4pm. We will have an opportunity on the way for a short stop for you to buy drinks and visit a toilet.

Scenic run along the Thames

The South Bank, with its long riverside walkway and scenic views, is the perfect place to run and experience this dynamic city. I’m an athlete, photographer, and lifelong Londoner, ready to guide you on a 5K run with stops along the way and top tips for capturing the city on your smartphone. • We’ll set off on our five-kilometer run along the stunning South Bank, starting at the iconic London Eye. • As we jog east, we’ll pass the Royal Festival Hall, the city’s main concert venue, and see Gabriel’s Wharf, a popular spot for shopping and dining. • We’ll pause at the National Theatre to admire its architecture and snap photos while I share photo tips. • Then, we’ll cross the Millennium Bridge for breathtaking views of St. Paul’s Cathedral and check out the exterior of Tate Modern. Our final stop will be the world-renowned Shakespeare’s Globe, where we’ll unwind with relaxing riverside views. I’ll share my social media page for this experience, so you can share your shots and connect with others in the community.

Amazing Edinburgh Photoshoot Experience

A couple = 2 guests* Explore the uniquely beautiful Old Town of Edinburgh with your very own personal photographer! We start by meeting in the historic Grassmarket, a central and easy to find location. Places we visit include Victoria Street, The Vennel, Greyfriars Bobby, Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral plus more! During the shoot, we will explore the many hidden, cobbled streets and alleys of the beautifully preserved Gothic Old Town that to me are quintessntially Edinburgh. Along the way, I will give you posing tips to capture stunning photos of your time in this memorable city! Most my guests have never had photos taken before and it's normal to feel a bit nervous or shy at first. I promise that within 15 minutes, you will feel natural and confident! Within 2 to 3 days, I will send you 30 beautifully retouched photos to your email! I run this experience in all weather conditions, so please dress accordingly. Feel free to bring any extra accessories or garments to change up your look during the shoot if you wish. Babies under 2 are free.

Bays & Beaches of Ullswater by Kayak

Ullswater, quite rightly, is considered the most beautiful of the big lakes. It features bays & beaches, islands and lots of scenery. The ethos on the trips is always the same. Enjoy the scenery, have a chat, pass on a bit of knowledge to, and learn from, people looking for a similar venture. The first thing we'll do is sort out what's needed for the trip and introduce the boat. We use double ( tandem ) sea kayaks, unless there is an odd number of people on the trip, then the single is available. This is followed by a quick brief on what to do, then it's on to the water. There's no set route or furthest out point. I'll always take the group and the conditions into consideration. There is beautiful scenery all along the lake. For afternoon trips during the school holidays, please park in the village rather than the Sailing Centre itself. Be aware, on sunny days, the area will get busy. Be aware that if you have a BMI of 26 or over, weigh over 102 Kg ( 16 Stones ), or have very little upper body strength, this Experience is not for you. This is based on previous guests experiences.

Isle of Skye Smokehouse Tour & Tasting

Isle of Skye's only commercial smokehouse! A tour of the uniquely designed smokehouse is inspired to look like a traditional Scottish building called a cleit. A peat roof and stonewalled buildings from the bygone years. (Search on google St. Kilda and Cleit). Learn how the local alder wood is prepared by hand using an axe and used to fire the smokehouse and to create the smoke. I will talk about the various techniques of hot and cold smoking, wet and dry curing. Smell the secret 6 spice mix blend used in the current recipe to cure the salmon. Can you guess any of the spices? Finally the best bit tasting, Sample 5 different canapes. A twist on a Cullen Skink, Smoked salmon mousse on beetroot and blini, two additional tasting spoons. Small group Harry Potter walking tour

We'll discover the streets and secret alleyways of the Old Town area of Edinburgh, starting at Edinburgh Castle, then we'll wander down to "Diagon Alley" and find the gravestones of "Voldemort" and some other well known names in the Harry Potter series. We'll also spot "Hogwarts School" of Wizardry and find where the writer found her inspiration from. Learn about the famous and not so famous cafes where J.K. Rowling began her writing career and finished in the realms of luxury. The tour will last approximately 1 hour. However, please allow for an additional 20 minutes if tour runs over depending on group size, photo opportunities and question time. Other things to note The tour will be outdoors, whether rain or shine so come prepared to walk around for over an hour. If it is raining, I suggest to wear sturdy shoes - the graveyard can be muddy.
